Open Board Positions for Next Year

-- Treasurer: Mary Hoehn, our current Treasurer, is in the final year of her term. We would love for someone to shadow her for the remainder of the year so she can provide training. She is willing to make herself available through the summer for additional training, so the next person can step into the role with all the tools they need!

-- Events: This is a co-chair position, so you will not be alone! Sarah Fritch will be continuing for next year and will be able to show you the ropes, and it’s always fun to share a position with someone!

-- Arts in Education: Megan Mumford is currently the sole person in this position, and we are looking for someone to be her co-chair! Megan has brought such wonderful programs into the school and would love to work with someone to be able to share ideas and to have another perspective on what programs would be great for the school and would benefit our kids.

Please consider joining the fun! Feel free to email us with any questions.

Take care,

Mia & Sarah

Did you know that a tree is growing in your school?

12/7/2023:

The weather outside is cold and we need our hats, mittens, and boots to keep us warm. Unfortunately, there are many children who do not have warm hats, toasty mittens, or cozy boots. Therefore, we have placed a tree in our main entrance and hope to cover it with new items to keep needy children in the immediate area warm. This tree will "grow" until December 15th. On the last day, all gifts that the tree has "grown" will be donated to the Saratoga Center for the Family.  Please help our "giving tree" grow by placing a new pair of mittens or gloves, a scarf or hat, boots, socks, or legwarmers on a branch. Experience the joy of giving this holiday season and know you will make a little person a lot warmer this winter. Thank you for helping.

Holiday Gift Market 12/5

11/27/2023: – Holiday Gift Market: The Gift Market will be Tuesday, December 5th during the school day. We will have nearly a dozen crafters from all over the area to give our students the opportunity to shop for gifts for their family and friends.

– We still need a few more volunteers to help students shop and to wrap. Sign up here to volunteer!

Spirit Week!

10/2/2023:

Spirit Week (October 2nd - October 6th)

Spirit Week is a fun way for us to celebrate our fantastic school spirit at Division Street Elementary School.  All students and staff members are encouraged to show their school spirit by dressing according to the following daily themes:

Dress from head to toe in your favorite color! There are so many to choose from: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, black, white, gray, brown… Let’s celebrate our diversity by turning our school into a living rainbow!

Tuesday, October 3rd Favorite Logo Day

Wear your favorite school-appropriate logo to school! Suggestions: an article of clothing displaying your favorite sports team’s name/logo, a school/college name/logo or a brand name, such as Nike or Under Armor. If you don’t have a favorite logo to wear, you can always create your own!

Wednesday, October 4th Pink Out!

In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, wear as much PINK as possible! Let’s make our school a living Sea of PINK to show our support of friends, family, and loved ones battling this disease!

Thursday, October 5th Bright Future Day

Dress from head to toe in NEON COLORS to show our collective hope for a BRIGHT FUTURE! You may even want to wear shade/sunglasses and/or a sun hat to cut down on the glare!

Friday, October 6th Dragon Pride Day
