4/21/2025: The Home Run Derby is back! This fun event helps us raise money for the PTA to provide wonderful programs and events all year long, but we need your help to make it happen! The derbys will be divided into three groups- K/1 on the tee ball field, 2/3 on the Minor's field, and 4/5 on the Major's field with older children and adults getting their chance at 7:00 under the lights! This event is always a ton of fun and we can't wait to see you there!

2/7/2025: Division Street will be bringing back its Cultural Fair on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, from 5:30-7:00 PM. Our Cultural Fair will take place at Division Street Elementary School and will be an event where students and families celebrate and share their diverse cultures, heritages, and backgrounds. We are currently looking for families, staff, and/or community members who would like to share their country and culture with our students and families at this special event. The purpose of this event is to celebrate cultural diversity.
You can share in a variety of forms. Some examples include: table with information on the country/culture represented; sample crafts from that country; simple student craft project; sample foods from that country; dance or music activity on our stage.
If you would like to volunteer to share, please complete the form sent home from school and return it to the Division Street Main Office by February 7, 2025. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Main Office of the school at 518-583-4794. Thank you for your consideration in volunteering at this school event.

Trained coaches (who are also Division Street parents) use physical activity and dynamic discussions to build social, emotional and physical skills while encouraging healthy habits. Join us for this fun-filled after school activity!

This program is geared towards 3rd-5th grade girls to help build confidence, promote health and teamwork, and sense of community. The season ends with a 5k fun run. 11/27/2024: Gift Market is scheduled for Tuesday, 12/10. Local craft vendors give our students the opportunity to shop for gifts for their loved ones! We are looking for parent volunteers to help the kids shop and wrap their gifts for either, or both, time slots: 9:15AM - 11:30AM and/or 12:00PM - 2:15PM. 11/15/2024: Division Street Elementary and Putnam Market are joining to raise money for our PTA. Putnam Market is selling their all-natural Fresh Fruit Pies, Desserts, Quiches, & Tea Breads for Thanksgiving and donating a portion of the proceeds to Division Street Elementary PTA.
Pick up your order at Putnam Market, 431 Broadway, Saratoga Springs, 587-3663. Please indicate which day you want to pick up (Tuesday, 11/26 or Wednesday, 11/27; hours 10 am-6 pm)
All orders must be purchased on cheddarup by Monday, November 18th
11/15/2024: PTA bylaws require that our finances are audited on an annual basis. We are in search of an accountant or auditor to review our 2023-2024 finances and sign off on a statement confirming the accounting is accurate. We estimate this may take approximately 8 hours of effort. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talents to help our PTA complete this review, please contact Matt Haag at treasurer@divisionstreetschoolpta.com.

10/28/2024: The Division Street PTA, with Coach Armstrong and Go Kids! will be offering an after-school program on each of the conference day half days:
Thursday, November 14th
Tuesday, November 19th
Wednesday, December 4th
Wednesday, December 11th
There will be spots for 60 kids each day. We need parent volunteers! Please contact fundraiser@divisionstreetschoolpta.com to volunteer.
Students will eat lunch in the cafeteria and enjoy PE with Coach Armstrong and LEGO building with Go Kids! We will end with a movie and snacks in the cafeteria.
PICKUP IS AT 3:00 PM in the small gym (enter from the blue double doors in the back of the school)
*Please note: There will be no nurse on staff for the after-school program and families would need to come to school to administer medication to students.

9/20/2024: We had a great turnout at our first PTA meeting of the year. We thank all those who were able to attend. The PTA has some new board members and we are all excited for the year ahead!
For those who couldn’t attend, we wanted to take this opportunity to let families know that some events this year may look different than they did in the past, such as the Fall Festival. The PTA has decided to take this event off school grounds and move it to Sunnyside Farms. Last year, we had to limit ticket sales due to capacity at the school and that was something we didn’t want to keep doing and being able to offer this event at Sunnyside allows the PTA to open the event to all students and families.
The PTA is constantly brainstorming for ideas for new events and fundraisers that will benefit Division Street. We hope to share those ideas in the coming months. Look for PTA updates on Facebook, Instagram and right here on the PTA website!

9/14/2024: Join Coach Armstrong for a dose of exercise and play before school! Classes will meet Monday (4th-5th), Wednesday (2nd-3rd) and Friday (K-1st) mornings from 8:00am-9:00am for 8 weeks. All classes will be held outside (weather permitting) or in the back gym. All students will enter through the blue doors at the back of the building. More information on cheddarup.
