Meet Your PTA Board Members

Monica Isenovski (President)
https://sites.google.com/site/divisionstreetpta/home/about/PTA%20Bio%20Pic.jpg

This is Monica's second year of her two-year term as President.  She previously served on the Board as Secretary (2015-2017.)  She is excited to work with a great group of parents and to continue increasing PTA membership and participation.  Monica is currently a stay-at-home mom of two boys (4th and 6th grade) who attend Division Street and Maple Avenue Middle School.  She has a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John's University, Queens, NY.  She is an avid bird watcher and amateur nature photographer, a Yankees fan, and enjoys karaoke.

Shafer Gaston (Treasurer)

Shafer (left) is a father of four, including 1 former and 2 current Division Street Elementary students. Originally from Alabama, he and his spouse moved back to Saratoga Springs following his retirement from the submarine force (in which he did two tours at NPTU Ballston Spa), and they have both enjoyed returning to Saratoga Springs and getting more involved in the community.  Shafer is currently employed as a Project Manager and also serves on the Maple Avenue Parent Network executive board.

Claire Angier (Secretary)

Claire is excited to be entering her first of two years as PTA Secretary.  She has two daughters at Division Street, a kindergartener and a third grader.  Claire is a Special Education teacher in the Niskayuna School District and is excited for the upcoming school year!

Jennifer Parks (VP of Events)

Jen is excited to serve as the VP of Events with Danielle this year. She is a military wife and mom of 2 girls. Her husband Chris works at the Navy Medical Clinic while Madison is a fifth-grader and Emma is a third-grader at Division Street. Wow! Where did the time go? Currently, she is a stay-at-home mom, enjoys spending time with her family and loves helping out at school.

Jen and her family have lived in various places along the east coast. They relocated here from Maryland and could not be happier! She is looking forward to all of the events that are already on the calendar so be sure to check them out. Jen encourages you to reach out to her and Danielle with any questions, suggestions or ideas. She looks forward to year filled with lots of fun activities and exciting events!

Danielle Bedard (VP of Events)

Danielle has enjoyed volunteering and being a part of so many of the wonderful programs and events at Division Street over the past two years (along with her event-loving daughter, who is entering second grade). As a native Blue Streak, cultivating a strong Saratoga Springs and Division Street community are very important to her family.

She has felt fortunate to be involved in the classroom as a homeroom parent, choreograph the first-grade Bugz musical, teach outer-space yoga, and lend a hand with great PTA events such as the Pasta Dinner and Fall Festival. She’s been impressed with what Jen and Liz (and the fabulous event chairs) have accomplished and is looking forward to joining Jen and the PTA board this year to help fuel these efforts in a greater capacity.

Danielle has a degree in Psychology & Complex Organizations from Mount Holyoke College and a background in communications, education & development, and healthcare. She has been back in Saratoga and with Syneos Health since 2002. She currently leads client development for Syneos Health Communications, having most recently served as President of one of its agencies headquartered here, so her commitment and desire to continue to make this a great place to live, learn, work, and play runs very deep!

Danielle has a passion for music and performing arts, recently received her youth yoga instructor certification, loves game nights, and looks forward to getting an invite to karaoke from Monica.  Danielle’s mantra: work hard, be kind, do the right thing.

Kate Fitzpatrick (VP of Fundraising)

Kate Fitzpatrick is happy to be serving her second of 2 years as VP of Fundraising at Division Street School.  As Saratoga Springs natives, she and her husband are proud to be raising their sons, ages 7 and 5, in their hometown.   She is currently a stay at home mom and also sits on the Board of Directors as Fundraising Chair for The Beagle School.

Kelly Savalli (VP of Arts in Education)

Hello! I’m Kelly, and I live in the district with my husband, two kids (both at Division Street!) and our pitbull, Blitz. I enjoy hiking, cooking, travel, reading, and time with family & friends.

Krystyn LaBate (VP of Membership)

This is Krystyn’s first full year as VP of Membership, after having filled in last year when a vacancy
opened. Krystyn currently works as a Medical Science Liaison with Neurocrine Biosciences in San Diego,
specializing in research and drug development in the neuroscience disease space. In 2014, she founded

cortical malformation or cephalic disorder.
Krystyn earned her B.A. in Psychology from Siena College before completing a Master’s in Community
Psychology from Sage Graduate School. Krystyn then received her Doctor of Philosophy in Behavioral

husband Bob, and children, Giovanni and Gabriella. In her free time, Krystyn enjoys cooking and one day
